On Quellenbad camping Jesteburg

This campsite is primarily for permanent campsites. There is only a small number of pitches which are for touring visitors. The location is good as there is a woodland area nearby. to drive to the center of Hamburg will take 30 to 40 minutes. The toilets and showers were very clean and very modern. They have washing machines, but it is quite pricey at eight euros for a wash and tumble dry. The owner does not speak any English, which can make communication a little tricky.

My partner and I camp a lot and this was definitely one of the coziest — if not the coziest — camping we've ever been to! We were driving by motorcycle from Denmark during a really hot summer day and already put in around 500+ km. When we arrived in the campsite, the owner came running to us and immediately invited us in. We were able to check in quickly and he even gave us free cold beers coz he thought we could really use it and then 2 small bottles of schnapps to "rest better at night" in preparation for another day of driving :P The people staying longer term in the camping were also very welcoming and the bathroom/toilet facilities were topnotch. Good camping. Big and well serviced. Showers are free. There's no kitchen and the wifi (also if included in the price-9 is unavailable in all camping except for the reception. Price too high. Owner rude and can't speak english, moreover keeps talking in German and doesn't even try to make herself understood.
