Camping Rural La Cabañuela

Superb gem of a campsite. Pros:- Tranquil location close to the Negratin Reservoir. Very helpful reception staff. Dog friendly. Clean ablution facilities with plenty of hot water. 30 minute drive to Guadix. Cons:- Tight access to some pitches with a 7.3 m caravan and 4.7 m long car, but easy with a motor mover. At certain times of ths year (spring), the nearby woods have the nasty Pine Processionary Caterpillars, which are potentially lethal to dogs and extremely irritating to humans. Evenso, this isn't the fault of the campsite. We'd definitely return there in future.

What a fabulous campsite in an amazing location, super peaceful. The facilities are beautifully clean with plenty of hot water. The ladies running the site are really friendly and helpful and having the restaurant and bar is a bonus. The food is good and reasonably priced. We would return.

This was our favourite campsite so far throughout Spain. It really is a hidden Gem. The lady at reception was more than helpful, showed us all the local attractions and pleasant to deal with. The staff at the resteraunt were very polite and helpful too. Pitches were huge, the showers and toilets were very clean and looked after. Fantastic camp site, we only intended on one night but stayed 4! Perfect for dogs with a beautiful walk down to the lake. We already cannot wait to return. Thank you very much!
