Unique campsite in beautiful rural location near Marvão, (which is definitely worth a visit). Small, friendly site, adults only, owned by wonderfully crazy hosts Vitor (Brazilian) and Ronald (Dutch). They welcomed us with hugs and wine! English, German and Portuguese spoken. Such a relaxing place. So quiet that the birdsong at night kept me awake! They require a minimum 2 night stay but after 2 nights you will want to stay longer. Pitches fairly level and reasonable sizes, a bit haphazard but only adds to the charm. We have 6m campervan with awning. Sanitary facilities good and clean (unisex). Beautiful pool for cooling off. Good walking and cycling opportunities- walking maps at reception. They make their own olive oil (delicious) and dinner is available on alternate days, prepared by Vitor, maximum 12 guests, so be sure to sign up in the morning. Lovely opportunity to meet your fellow guests. You will also get to meet Dushi the dog, Miss Piggy the pig and the hens and donkeys. It’s a bit off the (...)

When we woke up well-rested the next morning we already knew we wanted to stay more nights than planned. The camper and tent sites feel private, although there is a lovely community atmosphere outside of that. We enjoyed a delicious communal dinner cooked by Vitor and got to know some of the other campers. We met many very nice people including some who offered to drive us up to Marvou and take us grocery shopping so we didn’t hav (...)
