Great stop off as close to the motorway (15 to 20mins) Quite campsite with hard stands, great service point to drop and refill the van for the onward journey. We booked on the motorway and the owners were happy to let us in after the normal cut off time 👍👍👍

Great place to start your Jounery and get your bearings, very quiet, brilliant wash area and unbelievably clean toilet.

We had 2 nights here in mid March 2024. We paid for one night and explained we weren’t sure if we would. We’d the second night as our plans were loose. Not a problem simply told to pay for one night and if we needed another night we could call back on the day as site had only just opened for the season and was quiet. Simple set up pitches are well maintained and we had a wonderfully quiet nights sleep in the Campervan. Felt really safe and secure. Just one toilet on site situated in a small wood hut which was lovely and clean and comfortable. Great spot for visiting ullswater as we did :-)
