Camping Municipal

Excellent. Clean. One night stay. Good price.

This is a peaceful, picturesque and efficiently managed campsite. We paid 16,50 euros per night for a caravan with electricity in 2020, in August. The pitches are spacious and well laid out. Well demarked for privacy. Many face the slow-flowing river, with the Charolais cattle grazing on the opposite bank. The toilets and showers are plentiful, modern and spotless. It is a short walk along the riverbank into Charolles where there is a small but good selection of shops and restaurants and a particularly excellent butcher. There is a small supermarket within walking distance and a larger one, on the other side of the town. There is excellent walking from the campsite, taking in the many castles in the area. The municipal swimming pool backs onto the campsite and looked very inviting. The managers are very friendly and very efficient. We've been back several times now, and hope to again, this summer.

A very good camping place with big spots delimited with bushes. I don’t give it 5 stars because of the noise as there is a road on the other side of the river. But this didn’t stop us from sleeping or enjoying our time here
