Terme d'Astor is a friendly family camp-site in the Dordogne. With enough space for all, young and old, lovers of peace and those who like it lively. Our camp-site is in the middle of a beautiful nature, where you will have a lovely time doing lots, or nothing at all. Just as you wish. You will find our camp-site (17 hectare) on a plateau in wooded hills. There are 100 large pitches with lots of privacy. But you can also choose to rent one of our chalets for your next holidays. During the high season our team of camp hosts daily organize fun things for free. Take part or not, as you wish. We recommend canoeing on the river Dordogne, a lovely day out with the family. You will be taken upstream to paddle down at your leisure; stop for a swim and just enjoy the good life and the beautiful scenery. Or come and taste wines at vineyards in the area . Of course you will be able to buy some bottles to remind you of French summers when you get home. Terme d'Astor boasts an excellent regional kitchen. There will be music and dancing, too. You will find Terme d'Astor in the middle of a stunning county. In an area of rolling hills with whispering woods of oak and chestnut, fields with sweetcorn, sunflowers and fragrant tobacco. A landscape with medieval churches in age-old villages. The land of plenty, famous for its truffles, walnuts, chestnuts and wild mushrooms. In this region, you’ll also find solid castles (Monbazillac , Beynac, Castelnaud , Milandes ) and fortified villages like Monpazier. Bergerac and Sarlat (each at a distance of approx. 40 km/25 miles) are widely known towns.So, this is a splendid corner of France with many places of interest and possibilities for a holiday you will not forget.
